Airports, industrial, and commercial properties usually have a storm water management facility within close proximity of operations. Storm water management areas hold water and with these areas come the fowl that are attracted to these areas. By installing bird deterrent grids over these areas, owners can greatly control and reduce the size and number of waterfowl that inhabit these areas. Waterfowl’s use of these facilities can create hazards to aircraft and damage to adjacent lawn areas. While these systems are not 100% effective they do significantly reduce the amount of fowl that will use the areas. The Teflon wire grids eliminate the open areas that the waterfowl use to land. Birds do not utilize the space underneath them because the restrictive web prevents flight out of the area. The combination of the aforementioned scenarios will significantly deter unwanted waterfowl.
